Overview

• Personal AI Develops an end to end platform that includes a full suite of applications (mobile, desktop, and browser) and integrations into 3rd party applications (e.g. Chrome, Slack, G-Suite)
• As a full time backend engineer, you’ll work within a team to further development of applications and integrations, contribute to maintaining and improving our data pipeline and infrastructure, and collaborate with our business and product functions to help shape our product roadmap.

• You’ll be expected to engineer AI and LLM related pipelines, develop scalable mass data scraping and collecting workflows, maintain critical database functionality and performance, and contribute to the health of our network components. 
• You’ll directly impact the state of our technical stack and architecture with large amounts of ownership and a close working relationship with other developers including our CTO. You’ll implement scalable, maintainable code while implementing key features, APIs, SDKs, Database Schemas, and drive new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive projects end-to-end, from scoping and design to implementation and rollout
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to continuously improve Personal AI’s products and marketing position
• Provide developer support to the customers utilizing our application in regards to AI Model performance, stability, and integration workflows
• Develop and manage our APIs to guarantee scalability, security, and reliability. This involves crafting interfaces, type systems, error handling, database structures, and authorization frameworks.
• Develop networking capabilities such as traffic inspection and analysis, manipulation of protocol-level requests, and Socket and HTTP proxying
• Stay up-to-date on the latest open-source frameworks, libraries, and tools that can be utilized to improve product and developer experience

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years experience in developing AI systems, APIs, and robust highly technical platforms, including all aspects from documentation to release management.
• Proficiency in backend service development (e.g. Java, Python, Typescript, Go).
• You are excited about working at an early stage startup, show initiative beyond your role, and have ideally contributed to building products from 0-1
• You are interested in the role AI can play to disrupt existing industries and have a do anything mentality to dedicate to your commitment 
• Strong team player with excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and can solve complex problems
• Bonus points for experience with pytorch, langchain, training models, and RAG
• Bonus points for experience with low-level development and a commitment to optimization at every level
• Bonus points if you are a team player, contributing wherever you’re needed regardless of expertise
