Permissions and Roles in Workspace Settings

This week, we’ll focus on managing your organization’s workspace with enhanced settings and role-based permissions. On the Personal AI Enterprise Platform, teams can customize access and responsibilities so the right people have the right tools and controls. With clearly defined roles and permission levels, collaboration stays secure, streamlined, and aligned—helping your organization scale AI efforts with confidence and clarity.

The Personal AI Workspace includes three roles:

  • Workspace Owners have full control over the workspace, including structure, billing, and all administrative settings. They act as the executive leadership, making critical configuration and user management decisions.
  • Workspace Admins manage day-to-day operations, including member management and workspace customization, but don’t handle billing or top-level decisions. They’re like team leaders who keep things running smoothly.
  • Workspace Members are standard users who collaborate in channels, communicate with others, and manage their own content, without administrative privileges.

Workspace Management Settings For Owners and Admins

  • Under Organizational Settings, you can manage People settings, where you can view members’ names, email addresses, and their roles within the workspace.

  • To update a member's role later, click the dropdown arrow under “Roles” next to their name.
  • Owners and admins can assign roles such as Admin, Member, or Guest.

“My AI” View For Different Roles

  • The workspace owner will have visibility of all Personas that belong to the workspace.

  • Workspace Admins and Owners who have been shared a Persona—either as a manager or collaborator—will see it listed under "My AI" in the "Shared Persona" tab.

  • Workspace Members can be added to Personas as managers or collaborators, which will make those Personas appear in their “My AI” tab. If they aren’t added in either of these roles, they’ll only be able to interact with the Personas through direct messages (DMs) or Channels. In that case, the Personas won’t appear under “My AI”—instead, Members will find and chat with them in the “Messages” tab.
