With Personal AI, you can create an evolving AI workforce trained on proprietary knowledge, streamlining workflows and driving innovation across your business.
This week, we're sharing quick, actionable tips to help you get more out of the Personal AI platform. Specifically, you'll learn how to access and interact with specific documents — whether you're working with PDFs, spreadsheets, or PowerPoint decks — so you can get the answers you need, faster and more efficiently.
Need to reference a specific file while chatting with your AI persona? Just type a colon : on your keyboard, and you'll instantly see a list of all the uploads associated with that persona. Start typing the name of the file, and the list will filter in real time, making it quick and easy to find the exact document, spreadsheet, or presentation you need.
It doesn’t matter where you place the colon in your message — beginning, middle, or end — your AI can still reference specific files.
This is especially helpful when you want to analyze specific data, refer to templates or frameworks, or ask for follow-up based on meeting transcripts.
Want to tap into multiple files at once based on a keyword? You can do that by selecting the top row in the dropdown list after typing a colon. This allows your AI to reference all files that contain the keyword you've typed, with matching terms shown in bold. For example, if you choose "price update," it will pull from every related document — even if there are multiple files from March through June.
Another helpful tip is to use the colon twice within a single prompt. For example, you might first reference a meeting transcript to extract key information, then reference your go-to email template to rewrite that information in a specific format. This allows your AI to draw from multiple sources at once, making your workflow even more efficient.
These simple but powerful tips can help you unlock the full potential of document referencing with your AI persona — making your interactions smarter, faster, and more context-aware. Whether you're pulling insights from data, referencing past meetings, or streamlining communication with templates, using the colon gives you precise control.
